AP Biology Artifact Collection 2nd Set

This shell defines the term gastropod, where they are various shells, molluks, or no shell at all.

This plant here relates to ligin, where it is found in all vascular plants
This plant here also is a long day plant where it needs more sunlight than there suppose to take in.
Gibberellins are plants hormones that regulate growth and in this picture it shows how it helpes these plants to grow.
Vascular plant tissue consists of xylem and phloem to carry nutrients from the roots to the leaves and this tree here has it.
This tree here has one type of vessle called xylem that helpes transport nutrients and water to the roots to the leaves.

This moss on this tree is suppose to tell what pteridophyte is which are vascular plants that produce neither seeds or flowers.
Also this moss is suppose to tell what bryophyte is which are non vascular plants that have tissue and enclosed reproductive system.

This is cambium which is the layer of actively dividing cells between the xylem and phloem.

This leaf is a frond that is split in two.
This leaf is a dicot of a plant or flower where there veins branch outward like a tree.

This plant here relates to actin where its abundant protein found in eukaryote cells.

This plant also here has cellulose which a substance that makes up the cell walls.
Here in this picture this plant's stem has meristem which is the tissue to all plants.

This plant here is a tendril of a plant where it coils up and supports the stem.

This dog here is an endotherm which are any warm blooded animals.

This cactus here is a xerophyte which is a type of plant that is well adapted to shortages of water and can conserve water.

This ant here arthropod which has a segmented body an exoskeleton and joint appendages.
This ant has a segmented body that has more than 2 different parts.x
This flower here relates to endosperm, the tissue that is produced under the seed of most flowery plants.

Biology Artifact Collection First Set

This plant as an autotroph where it can synthesize its own food from light or chemical energy.

-This picture is an arm and it relates to keratin fibrous, it’s the structure that makes the outer layer of the human skin.

-This cone here is a gymnosperm cone where the seeds are not found inside but outside.

-This leaf is the cuticle layer of the plant, on top of this leaf is a protective layer covering the leaves and stems of the plant.

-This leaf can also relate to enzyme, it produces chemical change such as absorbing carbon dioxide and than produces oxygen for us.

-This tree moss relates to lichen, a fungus with an alga that has greenish, yellowish, or brown that grows leaf life or branches on rocks.

-This picture describes an eukaryote, any life forms such as a tree is made up of cell type, cytoplasm, and characteristic of all life forms.

-This meat here is used to represent lipid using for energy storage, such as fat, waxes, and sterols.

-This meat also represents protein fibrous that are only found in animals to store proteins and used to construct tissues.

-These rubber bands represents myosin, the commonest proteins in the muscle cell and it is responsible for the elastic and contractile movements in our body, for example when we move our arms or legs it stretches our muscle and contract as well.

-The watermelon here shows fruits with fleshy seed where the seed is inside the fruit.

-The peanuts here shows fruits with dry seed.

- This sponge here describes porifera, that is found in animals of the phylum

-This is saliva that is suppose to describe amylase. Amylase is an enzyme that breaks down starch and amylase is present in human saliva.

-In the middle of this flower is the flower ovary, the female organ of a flower.

-This sugar is carbohydrate fibrous and it serves a major source in animals.

-This picture describes chitin and it is found in outer skeleton of insects, crabs, shrimps, and lobsters.

-This picture describes exoskeleton, which is the outer layer of the shell.
-This ant here is an insect. An insect is a small arthropods that have a body divided into 3 parts.

-The stem to this plant phloem, it is the a huge transportation system to vascular plants and the stem carries all the nutrients to wherever the plant needs it.
